Lansford-Summit Hill Community Partnership
The Lansford-Summit Hill Community Partnership is the newest organization to be headquartered at the Summit Hill Heritage Center.
The organization came together through a partnership between Lansford Alive and Summit Hill Community Improvement Organization. The goal is to have an active working relationship between the two towns and complete a wide variety of local and regional projects. Some of the partnership goals include increasing the number of businesses and jobs in the area, improvement and promotion of several area parks and tourist attractions, and the creation of events that celebrate the history and people of the towns. The overall goal is to revitalize both towns.
The partnership board is made up of seven members. Three members (Mark Sverchek, Chris Ondrus, and David Benevy) represent Lansford. Three additional members (Michele Toniati, Harry Miller, and Debra Ranck) represent Summit Hill, while Dale Freudenberger from the Delaware and Lehigh National Corridor serves as chairman.
Sara Ruch, a resident of Summit Hill, is the project manager and the sole employee of the partnership. She loves her office location, where she can stay in touch with all the exciting things happening at the center. She can be contacted at 570.645.7561 or
